What Makes Science Special?
Imagine you lived 500 years ago. How would you prove the Earth isn't flat — without Google, without a globe, without anyone telling you? What observation would you make?
Science is not a collection of facts. It is a method of asking questions and testing answers. The core idea: every claim must be falsifiable — there must be a way to prove it wrong. If a theory cannot be proven wrong, it is not science. This is what separates science from superstition.
Examples
Flat Earth
Ancient Greeks observed that ships disappear hull-first over the horizon. This is a testable observation that contradicts a flat Earth.
Germ Theory
Before microscopes, people believed diseases were caused by 'bad air'. Pasteur designed experiments to test the germ hypothesis — and changed medicine forever.
